Persian cook hand painted on shell strung on pearls
I bought this Persian cook, hand painted on mother-of-pearl shell from a couple that brought a box of these treasures with them when fleeing Iran when the Shaw was removed. They were literally on the tarmac when the Iranian Revolution started and were so thankful their plane lifted off just in time! I don't know how old they are but older than 1979!
Strung on brown fresh-water pearls with a sterling silver clasp and chain that adjusts from 16-19"
